Steve Mullinix, PhD Dr. Steve Mullinix is a Licensed Psychologist and Partner with Human Resource Consultants, PA and currently serves as Chair of the Board. He is also Consulting Psychologist with the Raleigh Office of Drake Beam Morin (DBM) a global career management/outplacement firm. Dr. Mullinix received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1978 following an internship with the Wichita Collaborative Psychology Internship Program in Wichita, Kansas. Prior to joining HRC in 1989, his experience was largely in university settings serving as psychologist and director of counseling services at Marquette University in Milwaukee and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. For organizations and companies, Dr. Mullinix specializes in planning and facilitating retreats and workshops using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). He also assists companies in the selection and promotion of key employees through a tailored set of psychological inventories and personal interviews to aid management in the hiring decision process. Dr. Mullinix is the co-developer/presenter of the Intensive Life/ Career Planning Workshop, a weekend career development workshop offered through select triangle companies and to the public 9 – 10 times per year. www.lifecareerplan.com. In individual practice at HRC, Dr. Mullinix works with adults and couples with a special emphasis on job stress, career transition/job seeking and dual career couples. In addition, he provides the job stress/career development component for the N.C. Bar Association “Bar CARES Program” for the triangle area. Currently Dr. Mullinix serves as Treasurer for the Division of Independent Professional Practice of the North Carolina Psychological Association and is the co-founder of the Career Development Forum of the RTP Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). |
