I. Basic Skills Course This course is intended for new leaders with little experience in supervising, managing, or directing others. The format is flexible, so that it can be delivered on-site or via telephone bridges to participants in multiple locations. The content is based on the research of James Kouzes and Barry Posner (authors of The Leadership Challenge and developers of the widely used Leadership Practices Inventory), supplemented by the contributions of other experts and by our own work with both new and experienced business leaders. This course is custom-designed for your needs, drawing from part or all of the following modules of 60-90 minutes each. Modules are combined, expanded, or changed as needed to meet the needs of a given group. Each session begins with a brief lecture covering best practices and research on the topic following by a guided group discussion and/or role-play to insure understanding. The focus of the discussion is on practical applications of the material using examples from participant's own work situations. The basic course can be supplemented with telephone coaching contacts to enhance accountability and follow-through. Sample Modules Dealing with the Expectations of Others

II. Intermediate and Advanced Level Courses One day workshops for six or more participants are offered for more experienced business leaders. The process is centered on using feedback from self-evaluations and others to understand leadership strengths and weaknesses and to develop realistic plans for change. The workshop design includes individual, subgroup, and total group activities to foster a hands-on, practical learning experience. The workshop can be supplemented by personal coaching to enrich the learning experience and solidify new skills.
