Charles Cooper, PhD Dr. Cooper is a clinical and organizational psychologist who received his doctorate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received additional training at the Executive Program of UNC's Kenan-Flagler School of Business. His area of specialization is in relationships between people and their work environments. Dr. Cooper is the CEO of Human Resource Consultants and the Director of HRC's Employee Assistance Programs. He also serves as the Director of Professional Affairs for the North Carolina Psychological Association and has lobbied for NCPA on Capital Hill for the last eight years. In addition, he serves as treasurer and sits on the Management Committee of Piedmont Care, LLC, a consortium of mental health practices in the Triangle. He has developed and taught conflict resolution courses to organizational leaders and conducted mediations, especially for family-owned and small businesses. He has also designed and conducted numerous programs for enhancing team productivity and quality of work life. He also serves as an executive coach for family and small business owners and with leaders of scientific and health service organizations. Dr. Cooper is the recipient of an Entrepreneurial Excellence Award from the Governor of North Carolina for a small business research project on computer-aided treatment. |
